Hope Restoration exist to secure livelihoods, and security of communities and to realize equity and equality of individuals and communities in South Sudan.
Our Goal
We aim towards maximum efficiency & effectiveness in our programming by ensuring our resources are directed towards our mission of promoting the rights and well-being of women, children, youth and other vulnerable groups
Our Core Values
The core values constitute HRSS operational principles, relationship with society-the children, women, the staff, and the partners. , other NGOs and the government at local, state and GOSS. HRSS ’s attitude’ is shaped by these operational principles and incorporates the confidence to act in and on the world in a way that HRSS believes can be effective and have an impact, and an acceptance of responsibility for the social and physical conditions ‘out there’.
1.Partnerships & Networking.
Building partnerships and networks have become important part of our work. We are expanding on our network and building relationships with organizations, missions, and partners regionally and globally. Gaining new perspectives and ideas through exchanging information on challenges, experiences and goals
As a collaborative relationship between HR and other organizations, Partnerships have enabled us to work toward shared goals leveraging opportunities, resources and expertise in our filed of work.
2.Accountability & Transparency
Recognizing this need, HRSS has committed itself to transparency and accountability not only towards donors, but also towards the people and communities we work in. This has enabled us to evaluate our actual performance allowing for continuous improvements in our work. We also embrace accountability to the organization, financial management and have systems in place to ensure employees are held accountable when they fail to meet up to the demands of their job, in the same way they are recognized when they do good work. This is done though setting clear and measurable goals/expectations as well as measuring and reviewing results.
3. Teamwork
HRSS staffs work as a team on the basis of mutual respect and accountability, consultations and collaboration. In our work we seek to understand the views and ideas of others, as well as to recognize the positive contributions of each person, so as to build strong interpersonal relationships within and beyond our organization.
4. Respect
Hope Restoration team treats everyone with respect, hold them in high regard, irrespective of social status, class, age, hierarchy and position in the organization or in the community
5. Duty of care
Our staffs adhere to a standard of reasonable care whilst they perform any act that could potentially cause harm to beneficiaries. Our principle of duty of care is that you have an obligation to avoid acts or omissions, which could be reasonably foreseen to injure or harm beneficiaries through anticipating risks and mitigating them
6. Integrity
Integrity guides the work we do fostering a positive workplace culture, one where there is open communication, good decision making and a strong moral compass guiding all decisions and actions.
7. Participation
We encourage employees to participate effectively in decision making, and strengthen their level of influence to all existing structures. We find it important to enact and develop Participation in decision making policies and procedures that are aligned to Labor Relations Act.
